#1 Best Tip for Wedding Photos

The only wedding photography tip you need

Have you been searching in all corners of the internet for any and all photography tips for weddings? Don’t worry, it’s absolutely normal for you and your partner to have those wedding day jitters when it comes to being photographed! But as someone who has been photographing weddings for over a decade, I’ve got a tip that will ensure you’ll get the best images on your big day.

While there might be a whole lot of photography tips for weddings I could give you – this one is THE tip. And it truly isn’t hard to accomplish. Are you ready?

Be in the moment.

Yep, that is it! Simple, but foolproof.

The trick to getting wedding photos you absolutely love is to forget there is a camera around at all. Tap into what your day is really about – your love and sharing it with the people you care about most.

Just ask anyone who has ever married the love of their life, every moment of your day will pass with unbelievable speed. Give yourself permission to be fully present. To experience every moment of your day entirely. To have an absolute blast! Let yourself get lost in the love and the energy. Because wow, that energy is like any other! It’s what makes weddings so so special.

While you are out there having the time of your life, I’ll be documenting it all with candid, memory-filled images that will allow you to relive your day over and over again.

  • Tender emotion and happy tears as you exchange vows with the love of your life.

  • Uncontrollable smiles and applause as you take your first steps as partners in forever.

  • Unplanned mishaps and the laughter that inevitably follows.

  • Good dancing, bad dancing, drunken dancing – every move busted.

  • Intentional details that brought so much sentimental meaning to your day.

  • Memories you never got the chance to see – stolen kisses in your audience, high fives between family members, hugs from friends who haven’t seen each other in ages.

  • Moments that may turn into last photographs, preserving the memory of your loved ones long after they have passed on.

  • Stories that you’ll tell your family decades from now as you run your hands over the pages of your wedding album.

These are the moments that you will want captured. They are the making of your story – not the perfectly posed and polished moments. The real, candid, emotional moments of your day. Those are the best photos. And they are the photos you’ll carry closest to your heart.

So while I could ramble off a million and one photography tips for weddings, this is the one I felt the most called to share with you as you start to plan your day.

Be present. Have fun. Focus on making memories. Embrace your day fully. Let me handle the photography part! At the end of the day, your mission will be accomplished.
